This is an example I made using custom cursors, combined with the ability to run a video forwards or backwards, depending on whether the mouse rolls over the right-hand or left-hand side of the video window.
If you do nothing and wait 5 seconds, the video will jump to a random frame along the sequence.
My son took this video of me using a Sony DCR-TRV19E Camcorder together with Pinnacle Studio DV (Studio 8 with 1394/FireWire capture card) to create an AVI-file. I then created the SWF-file using an old favorite utility called V2F after which I could import it as usual.
